Tostitos 5 Ways to Cinco

Cinco De Mayo celebrations were at an all time low, so we enlisted the help of Danny Trejo to bring the fiesta with Tostitos like never before. We invited our fans to “Open Mas Fiestas” for Cinco de Mayo, with “5 Ways to Cinco” to get the party started. To kick things off we created custom packaging, released a new Margarita inspired flavor, and teased the fiesta with an explosive 30 second spot playing up Danny’s classic on-screen persona as he pitches a suspiciously crispy action role tied to the 5 Ways.

The Chosen 1: Quest for Longevity

In the summer of 2019, we discovered something sinister under the hoods of our vehicles, 5 villainous enemies wrecking havoc on engines around the world. In an effort to educate our target on the difference between conventional and synthetic motor oil we created a first person shooter video game, where you have to defend the engine and destroy the 5 enemies of the engine: Sludge, Heat, Wear, Deposits, and Oxidation. With the help of Media Monks this campaign exceeded all expectations, and resulted in an unforgettable experience.

Mobil 1 X NBA 2K21

During the holidays motor oil often takes a back seat on the shopping list to gifts and holiday related items. As the official motor oil of the NBA we had a plan to bump Mobil 1 to the top of the list by partnering with a holiday MVP, NBA 2K. We gave consumers the ultimate defense for their engine and on the digital court with a My-Player Defensive boost for NBA 2K21 when you buy Mobil 1. We also integrated with the game bringing in Mobil 1 sponsored events, featured Mobil 1 blocks of the game, and a live stream on Twitch with Anthony Davis.

The Official Motor Oil of Roadtrips

In March 2020 the world came to a halt & travel around the globe became nearly impossible with flights grounded. But then, we remembered how our ancestors once traveled, on the road, and that is exactly where we met our audience. Without motor oil, the once great American passage of the Road Trip could not be possible, so with a little work, a team of OMORT ambassadors, snazzy new identity mark Mobil 1 quickly became the Official Motor Oil of Road Trips. We then invited our audience to enter a sweepstakes where they could win their own dream road trip.

Live for Crunchtime: Superbowl LIV

In preparation for Super Bowl LIV in Miami, our team was tasked to create the campaign for Frito-Lay. We knew that chip sales increased the most in the hours leading up to the Super Bowl, so we decided to hinge our campaign on that key insight, resulting in Live for Crunchtime. Our team worked hand-in-hand with the internal team at Frito-Lay, as they executed the TV spots, and our team executed the OOH around Miami.

Thrive Mural Project

As our agency shifted it’s branding position to focus on helping it’s employees, partners, and even the community “Thrive”, I was asked to bring my skills as a muralist to the office. The result was a 20’ x 7’ mural that currently sits in the Integer Dallas office, downtown. I chose the octopus because of its ability to thrive and adapt in it’s environment, because if it could juggle, that would surely be a sight to see, and of course, it is one bad ass creature. I was able to playfully incorporate the word “Thirve” into the mural using his arms.

Mobil 1 Weekend Warrior

In the summer of 2018, we enlisted team of influencers to help find the ultimate Weekend Warrior, with a social media led challenge. The challenge was simple, just show us how you are making the most of summer, which was not limited to just oil changes. We knew that if we spoke to the guy who mowed his own lawn, and was a known DIY’er that we would be able to appeal to our shopper, and ultimately drive purchase.

The Biggest Mural in Houston

I teamed up with UP Art Studio and Houston based Mr. D to bring to life literally the biggest mural that Houston had ever seen. Located just south of downtown Houston, the artist was able to complete this mural project in just under a month. As the Creative Director on the project, alongside UP Art Studio, our responsibility was to help find sponsors and of course to drive the hype of the mural project through social media.
